I watched Herb and Dorothy the other night and loved it. The film is a documentary about a couple who are avid art collectors. What makes their story amazing is that they weren't rich; Herb was a postal worker and Dorothy was a librarian. She paid the rent and bills and Herb's money went toward their art purchases. Their passion for art and the artists show in the movie. They loved connecting with the artists as much as surrounding themselves with artworks. Herb and Dorothy Vogel never sold a single piece of art. They gave their collection away to The National Gallery of Art and then collected even more art. They were so adorable too.
